DHC Services to the New Hyatt Place Hotel in Nashville, TN

TEG was selected by the City of Nashville to provide design and project administration services for construction of a new steam and chilled waterline extension and service connection to the Nashville Hyatt Place Hotel under construction in Nashville, TN.

The new services extend from the existing steam, condensate and chilled water mains serving the Nashville Symphony building in Molloy St. to the new hotel site. A new 4″ high pressure steam main, 2″ condensate return, 6″ chilled water supply and return mains were installed from the existing mains underground and extended south into the building underground parking area.

The service requirements for the Hotel are estimated to be 6,000 lb/hr of steam and 250 tons of cooling.

TEG was responsible for the interface with the building’s engineer who is designing the building’s decoupled thermal transfer systems. Service was available in the last quarter of 2012. Design services and construction are anticipated to be completed below budget and ahead of schedule.
